Well. here it is...........the end of the class. I really learned so much this semester, met new classmates, had a wonderful instructor. I can only get better as I continue with my classes. Will really miss everyone.
I live in Ft Lauderdale, FL. I have one son (32 years old, one daughter in law and 3 grandbabies (ages 4, 2, and 9 months) I have been a certified medical assistant since graduating from school in the 70’s. I always enjoyed helping people and it has been a very rewarding career. I have experience in front and back office of quite a few specialties (endocrinology, internal medicine, OB –GYN, pulmonary and sleep disorders, pain management). Most of my experience has been clinical and back office (phlebotomy, vitals, injections, H&P, physical exams, EKG, assisting with surgical procedures, etc)
With the introduction of technology, the duties and responsibilities of the medical assistant is constantly changing. In June of 2009, I decided to further my education into HIT to make myself more marketable and be an asset to my future employers. Since at Kaplan, I have accumulated so much information that will help me in ways that I had never imagined in my future. I guess you’re never too old to learn new things!!!
Good luck with your future classes.
