Unit 10

Well. here it is...........the end of the class. I really learned so much this semester, met new classmates, had a wonderful instructor. I can only get better as I continue with my classes. Will really miss everyone.

Unit 9

Well, here it is week 9 already. I had 2 essays this semester.......couldn't remember which one I was working on ...LOL. I really will miss the classmates and professors that I had in both classes. What's nice about it, is that we usually run into someone in future classes that you know. I like that idea !!! Now I have to get back to my doctors appointments....oh the fun !!!

Unit 8

I just can't believe it. We are already on week 8. I enjoy blogging, however, I haven't had the time to really explore all the features. I have 2 essays to due for this term, and have been pre-occupied trying to do the research, plus the regular assignment. I received good suggestion from the discussion board, as well as from the writing center. Now.........to the next step......edit and the paramedic method

I spoke with my son, grandbabies, and daughter in law on video cam through Yahoo today. It is so great. It's the next best thing to actually being with them in Georgia.

The study that I was accepted for Osteoarthritis of knees (for injections that are supposed to block pain receptors) was closed out. They didn't have enough people that qualified at the center that I was assigned to, so the drug company closed that study. Now I have to get back to the orthopedic re: total knee replacement. I had a rt total knee replacement in 1998 ( it was supposed to be good for 8 years) ; but for the past year I have been treated with injections in the left knee and the right knee is starting to bother me again. Soooooooo.......I think I'm going to have to make a decision on this knee problem !!!

Unit 7

I finally got a friend to help me with my files. She had to restore the hard drive! (I'm very fortunate to have a good friend like Susie.) She works for a TV station in Miami. She runs the "master control" and is very good with computers.

I received my paper back from KU writing center. They did give me some suggestions and where to look for further information.

Unit 6 post

Well, this week has been quite trying. I've been having difficulty with my files and can't find anything !!!

I've been working on my essay. I think it's coming along a little better. I sent it to the writing center for their opinion. I think Comp 2 is constructed much better than Comp 1. It seems alot easier this semester.

Death Row Dogs

Yesterday I visited this ranch in town that saves Death Row Dogs. It is quite an organization. If you care to visit the web site is www.SaveADeathRowDog.org. There are so many dogs that are euthanized that make great pets !!!!

Well, it started out a nice day here in Ft Lauderdale. However, within 15 minutes, there was thunder, a lot of wind, then came the rain. And in 5 minutes, it was over !!!! (Typical Florida weather !! LOL)

I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees. A few months ago, my doctor hooked me up with a physician that was doing research for a new treatment where they give you IV's weekly. It is supposed to block the pain receptors , therefore decreasing the pain. But after 1 month going for tests and qualifying, I received a call Monday that they closed the study because they couldn't get enough people that met the qualifications to continue the study. So it seems like my next step is total knee replacements ! (So life goes on.....LOL)

Even though I have been on Facebook, this is my first attempt at "blogging"

Now I have to choose a subject for my term paper. I think I'll go with the "ADHD"
